 How to Make:

  1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil then saute the chopped onions in it. Add spinach, salt and black pepper. Cook them till the spinach gets soft.
  2. Remove this sauteed spinach from the heat and add feta cheese on top, then let it cool.
  3. In a bowl combine the olive oil, whole milk, egg, black pepper, plain yogurt, and salt. Make sure to mix them well.
  4. Preheat the oven as per the instructions on the phyllo dough packaging. Place the phyllo sheet on an olive oil-brushed baking pan. Layer the phyllo sheets one by one, brushing with milk and yogurt mix. Place 6-8 sheets.
  5. Then spread the spinach feta mix on the layered phyllo sheets, and cover it with the remaining phyllo sheets. Make sure to brush them each with milk-yogurt mix.
  6. Fold the overhanging edges if there are any and brush the top layer with beaten egg yolks.
  7. Sprinkle some Sesame and Nigella seeds on top and bake them for 25-30 minutes until it turns golden brown in color.
  8. After baking, cool the borek for a bit and serve them after slicing.
