Italian Gluten Free Pizza Dough Recipe

Italian Gluten Free Pizza Dough

While preparing the pizza dough don’t forget that it’s a Gluten free dough recipe with no yeast. So you don’t need to wait for it to ferment.

Still, you will get the same crispy and soft inside tasty pizza just like Italian bakeries. You can add plenty of toppings on it to add flavour and taste.

Ingredients

Here is the list of items you need to have to prepare the pizza base.

IngredientsQuantity
Greek yoghurt

260 g
Gluten free flour

250 g
Xanthan gum

1/4 tsp
Salt1/2 tsp

Follow The Process: –

Pizza Dough

Step 1 – Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. My first step is to use a spatula and then as it starts coming together, I use my hands to keep it rolled up.

Briefly knead the dough so it’s smooth and mixed. It should not be sticky, so you may need to add a little flour.

Divide the dough into halves.

Step 2 – Prepare your dough by rolling it out on a lightly floured surface with a rolling pin. My rolls are about 0.5cm thick and fairly round.

To fit my frying pan, I then cut the circle around it so that it is really round! Although it’s fine if it goes up the sides of the pan… the crust comes out great!

Put your frying pan on low flame without oil.

Step 3 – Use your cake lifter to lift the rolled dough into the heated frying pan.

After a few minutes, you should notice some puffing on one side. When the pizza base has reached a golden brown, flip it and cook it for a bit less time on the other side.

Step 4 – Bake your bases once the other half of your dough is done(any excess dough can be used to make a third pizza or garlic bread).  Set the oven timer to 200c to 220c.

Step 5 – Put a little passata, a tsp of oregano, a couple of tablespoons of garlic-infused oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Leave a little crust on the base after spreading the sauce.

If you want the crust to get crispy in the oven, you can brush it with garlic-infused oil.

Step 6  Cover up the base with some extra layers of Cheese!

Bake until cheese is melted to your preference for about 10 minutes but not more than that. Sprinkle some basil and it’s good to go!

So what comes next after base – it’s the toppings!

I have shared here a few of my tasted and very delicious pizza toppings that you can try! You would love them…

Some Tips to Keep Your Pizza Crust Crispy

It’s very important to consider the layers of toppings while preparing pizza. Unless you like soggy pizza don’t start with spreading tomato sauce first.

Instead, pick the cheese and sprinkle it evenly over the crust. After that, you can spread the tomato or pizza sauce [this trick will save your crust]

After that, you can start with adding veggies or whatever toppings of your choice. My favorite topping starts with onions and lots and lots of veggies.

And finish it with grated cheese [I use my all-time favorite mozzarella cheese] but you can experiment to add more taste to the pizza.

The one thing I love about Italian Gluten Free Pizza Dough recipe is that it’s simple and easy to make. You can make your kids help you while preparing the best gluten-free pizza dough recipe!
